If you’ve every been to an All-day Sacred Harp singing you’ll know that food is a huge part of it for all attendee’s. It’s traditional that after singing in the morning for a number of hours there is a one hour recess at noon for a huge pot luck lunch known as ‘Dinner on the Grounds’.

Everybody needs and appreciates a good hearty meal after singing for the morning. And the contributions for Dinner on the Grounds are seen as major way the local community provides their thanks & hospitality to travelling singers

Here in Vancouver we attempt to maintain & promote the hospitality of an All-day singing at our weekly get together by providing cakes/desserts/treats to all comers.

This page will be used as a means for sharing the recipes used for items brought to our singings
